Low-B vs. High-B

The EN-B category is vast.

  • Low-B (e.g., BGD Epic): Very close to EN-A safety but with better handling. Ideal for your first 2 years of flying.

  • High-B (e.g., Gin Explorer): Designed for Cross Country (XC). These offer glide ratios that rival higher classes but require active piloting skills to manage in turbulence.

The "Do-It-All" Class

EN-B wings are capable of everything from local soaring to 200km flights. They are the sweet spot for 80% of pilots.
