Description

Light, fully-fledged and small when packed: many have been waiting for this tandem wing for Hike and Fly with friends and family. Now it’s here! The PIBI in one 37 m2 size weighs only 4.8 kg and has a takeoff weight range from 100 to 180 kg. This ADVANCE Light Tandem merges PI philosophy with the popular flying qualities of the BIBETA 6.

Technology & Features

The PIBI is delivered with a pair of light spreaders with reserve connection lines (180 gm) and two FORAS carabiners (102 gm) as well as a COMPRESSBAG Light (150 gm).

The PIBI three level risers are weight optimised and weigh only 345 gm. They connect via Softlinks and are fitted with Low Friction brake rings.

Before You Hire — Key Conditions

The full hire agreement is provided at checkout. The following highlights the most important conditions. By completing your order you confirm you have read and agree to them.

Pilot Qualification Required You must hold a valid BHPA Club Pilot rating (or equivalent) to hire this equipment. Identity, address, and pilot competency checks will be carried out before dispatch.

Third-Party Insurance Required You must hold adequate third-party aviation liability insurance (e.g. via active BHPA membership) for the full hire period. Wing Locker accepts no liability for third-party damage or injury.

14-Day Cancellation Right You have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. If you request immediate delivery at checkout, you waive this right. A full refund is given for cancellations before dispatch.

⏱️

Maximum 30 Flying Hours The equipment must not be flown for more than 30 hours in total during the hire period. A mandatory pre-flight inspection must be carried out before every use.

🚫

Prohibited Activities SIV courses, acrobatic flying, water landings, and dragging over abrasive surfaces are strictly prohibited. The equipment must never be packed away wet.

UK Use Only The equipment may not be taken outside the United Kingdom without prior written consent from Wing Locker Ltd.

Report Faults Immediately Any defect or damage must be reported immediately. Faults discoverable on initial inspection must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Grounding the equipment is mandatory if any damage is suspected.

Independent Post-Return Inspection On return, equipment is sent to a BHPA-approved service centre. The inspection report is binding evidence of condition. Any damage beyond fair wear and tear will be deducted from your security deposit.

Cancellation Charge If you cancel after contracting, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the hire charge may apply.
