The BGD Base 3 is a high-performance sports intermediate that delivers top-of-class EN-B performance with reassuringly low-B safety characteristics. Born from BGD’s Performance Quest project, it shares its DNA with the competition-proven DIVA 2 — the high arc, short lines, tapered shape, and distinctive raked wingtips all contribute to exceptional glide and stability.
A 2.5-liner with unsheathed micro-lines, the Base 3 offers noticeably reduced drag and a satisfying two-liner feel on rear-riser steering. The C-riser neoprene cradle handle is comfortable and intuitive, giving you precise pitch control without anything to snag in your lines.
Despite its performance credentials, the Base 3 is a genuinely easy wing to fly. Its reflex profile and pitch-stable character mean collapses are easy to anticipate, and the innovative winglets help the glider recover from steep spirals. It’s a wing that lets you push your personal XC bests while feeling safe and at ease.
