The BGD Breeze is the lightweight sibling of the acclaimed Base 3, delivering the same high-B performance in a package that’s 25% lighter. Weighing just 3.3–3.9 kg across four sizes, it’s purpose-built for hike-and-fly adventures and vol-biv — light enough to carry up, with the glide performance to fly far once you’re in the air.
Like the Base 3, the Breeze is a 2.5-liner born from BGD’s Performance Quest project. It shares the distinctive high arc, short lines, tapered planform, and raked wingtips that give BGD’s latest generation their exceptional glide and stability. Unsheathed Edelrid Magix Pro Dry lines keep drag low, and the B/C steering gives a satisfying two-liner feel for precise pitch management.
Despite the weight savings, BGD haven’t compromised on durability — Porcher Skytex 27 cloth on both surfaces is proven for longevity, with a heavier 32 g/m² cloth reinforcing the leading edge. The Breeze is reassuringly stable in turbulent air, with excellent pitch stability and BGD’s signature progressive stability design: a solid, stable centre with softer tips that warn you about turbulence before it becomes a problem. Winglets ensure easy recovery from spiral dives.
