The BGD Cure 3 is a cutting-edge two-liner EN-C built for pilots chasing big cross-country distances and serial-class competition results. A product of the BGD Performance Quest project, it shares the family DNA of the DIVA 2 and BASE 3 — high arc, short lines, tapered planform, and those distinctive raked wingtips — but pushes aspect ratio and line efficiency to deliver true high-performance glide.
What sets the Cure 3 apart from other serial-class machines is its handling. Small brake inputs get an immediate response, and the wing has a genuinely enjoyable turn — whether you’re making flat, efficient glides between thermals or banking up hard to climb out of ripper cores. On bar, it tightens up reassuringly with excellent speed stability, and the glide is remarkable. Bruce Goldsmith described it as having a “never-landing feeling” — that sensation of always finding lift, of never feeling like you’ll go down.
The two-line layout minimises drag, with the stabilo integrated into the AR3 line for even fewer lines in the air. Winglets ensure safe spiral dive recovery, and the pronounced raked wingtips are optimised through extensive aerodynamic simulation. It’s a wing that rewards experienced pilots with top-of-class performance while remaining honest and communicative.
